Every love has its own landscape

Through creating virtual landscapes with contributed photos of textiles from people's homes the project ‘Every love has its own landscape’ aims to investigate materials' relationship to land, home, legacy and memory. How the near become further away, transformation and being a part of something large and complex. The project is ongoing and inspired by speculative storytelling. The textiles, transformed into virtual materials, become both a trace and a link to the different cultures and expressions that people make their home from today. Instead of garments or carpets in our homes and on our bodys is the landscapes giving us an encounter with a terrain mapped with our clothes. Just as the earth is changing drastically, this project aims to create an encounter with the unknown future from something recognizable. The work is intended as an installation with 5-6 different landscapes shown in the form of screens or in vr-set together. The project started spring 2020 and can be adapted to explore local spaces through site specific exhibitions in collaboration with local venues.
